Why counting brand mentions is as outdated as counting GRPs
... closed. Crisis research consistently shows the most critical window is the first 24 48 hours. Mention-volume monitoring is almost structurally blind to that window. What I've been building This is exactly the gap I built
Auralify
to close a tool that tracks how sentiment around a brand is shifting in real time, not just how often the brand gets mentioned. The goal is to catch the directional change before it becomes a measurable event. A few things ... ... building in the PR/comms/brand space have run into this. How are you thinking about the shift from volume to signal quality? Are you tracking mentions or are you tracking what your audience actually feels about your brand? See how

How influencer payment opacity became a brand reputation risk nobody's tracking
... Here's something I noticed while building
Auralify
that I haven't seen discussed much in the maker community. A recent industry study found that only 51% of advertisers have full visibility into what they're actually paying their creators. That means roughly half of brands running influencer campaigns have incomplete information about their own contractor relationships. Most brands file that under "procurement problem." I'd argue it's a reputation time bomb and the fuse is invisible. The failure ... ... happy to public complaint in one step. There are quieter indicators changes in tone, engagement with similar complaints from peers, replies to industry discourse about payment practices. Catchable, if you're watching. That's exactly the gap I built

What AI assistants say about your brand — and why you can't see it
... Here's something I noticed while building
Auralify
that I can't stop thinking about. When a user asks ChatGPT, Meta AI, or Gemini about a company a brand reputation, a CEO, a product recall they get a confident, synthesized answer. No sources listed. No timestamp. No "this might be outdated." Just an answer. And users trust it. Recent studies suggest people now trust AI assistant responses more than the top organic search results. That answer is shaping perception ... ... them don't have a single step in their runbook that addresses AI assistant outputs. Not because they're not paying attention. Because the category didn't exist two years ago. That's the exact gap I built

How operational decisions become reputation crises (a live case study)
... more universal than Spanish TV. Here's what went wrong, as far as anyone can tell from public reporting: 1. The trigger was visible before they acted. The cancellation appears to have been a reactive move to a
competitor
(Atresmedia) signing a high-profile presenter. That competitive signal didn't appear out of nowhere it was detectable. But there was no comms plan ready when the decision came. Reaction without preparation is how you hand the narrative to journalists ... ... exit story. TVE cancelled the show without offering any coherent
