Why we built AI that prepares you for hard conversations instead of replacing them
... broader question here for anyone building in the AI space: are we building tools that make humans more capable, or tools that make humans more dependent? Would love to hear from other builders thinking about this tension. Comment from

We stopped measuring engagement and our product got better
... what success looks like. Not every product should optimize for time spent. Curious if anyone else has experimented with outcome-based metrics instead of engagement. What did you measure, and how did it change your product decisions? Comment from

The feature that almost killed our product was the one users asked for the most
... months, our most requested feature at Murror was a chat function. Users wanted to talk to the AI the way they talk to a friend. It seemed obvious. Every
competitor
had it. Every feedback form mentioned it. So we built it. And within two weeks, our core metrics started dropping. Session length went down. Return rate went down. The thing users said they wanted was actively making the product worse. Here is what we discovered when we dug into ... ... what the solution should look like. That gap between the expressed need and the right solution is where product intuition lives. Has anyone else experienced this? Built something users demanded only to find it hurt the product? The biggest lie in product building: "ship fast, learn later"

The one marketing lesson I learned from building an AI product that no one talks about
... your product. What's been your experience marketing AI products? Has anyone else found that leading with the human outcome works better than leading with the tech? Comment from Robert Vassov(@robert_vassov): Learned from your post
Mona
, thanks. I am tinkering with embedding an AI assistant into my program to handle complex questions that will ultimately reduce email support. I have to very careful and implement it unobtrusively and not make it the focus of attention. Reading your experience ... ... Whether a warm glow or heat in my home or starting my car. Food - sustainment, comfort, memory-making. Hotels - rest, relaxation, reset. The "sell" is in what "it" affords to DO for me, my family, my colleagues. Comment from

How long does it usually take to upgrade your product before releasing it on Product Hunt?
... more feature" instead of shipping. The honest answer is probably: your product will never feel 100% ready, but the feedback you get from launching is worth more than another month of polishing in isolation. Comment from

What’s on your daily checklist (outside of work)?
... books with my kids - 30 minutes of at home stretches/bodyweight exercises - remind myself to eat slower and usually less at every meal - 15 minutes to read on what new tech development that is happening Comment from Robert Newport(@robnewport): @

_murror great advice! Thank you. Comment from Naomi(@cirqa_user): Something I have come to love is journaling over the past few years. I take at least 30 minutes to write a simple or complex problem I am trying ... ... working day I usually plan my day in simple old-school notebook :) and.. it actually works super great for me! it's like task tracker that always open on second screen Comment from Syed Mustassim(@mustassim): Hi

It’s not where you work, It’s how you work.

_murror Introverted spirit like me? :D Comment from shreya chaurasia(@shreya_chaurasia19): This resonates. I ve been fully remote for the past 4 months. Before that, I worked hybrid, and now I m relocating back closer to the office ... ... same time, I do feel that being around the team in person gives better context. You pick up on nuances, priorities, and decision dynamics that are hard to fully replicate remotely. For me, it s less about remote

Updating your mindset is just like updating a product
... product growth in your own journey? Comment from Musa Molla(@musa_molla): This resonates. Growth compounds when you treat mindset like a product, observe, iterate and stay intentional. Emotional clarity often shows up directly in product clarity. Comment from
