Happy Monday! Time for another edition of the Leaderboard! In today's email, we're taking a look at an app for all you pixel art lovers, Notion's cutest launch yet, and Elon's latest big AI move. Let's dive in.
One pixel at a time
1-bit.day: A daily pixel art challenge.
I love creating pixel art, but I often lose steam when I run out of ideas or overcomplicate projects. That’s why 1-bit.day works for me. The daily prompts mean I don’t have to overthink what to draw, and the 1-bit style keeps it simple—no stressing over colors or shading. There’s a charm to the minimalism that makes it approachable and fun. I’m not sure it’ll keep me drawing forever, but for now, it’s earned a spot on my bookmarks bar. See you tomorrow, 1-bit!
Cutest launch yet
Notion Faces: Create your own Notion-style portrait.
Notion’s faces are an iconic and instantly recognizable part of their brand, helping them stand out anywhere. Customizing my own face felt personal and nostalgic—almost like designing a Sim from the 2005 era of The Sims. It was fun and deepened my brand affinity for Notion. It makes me wonder: was this a playful 20% project or a deliberate, strategic move tied to their goals? Either way, it’s a clever feature that keeps Notion top of mind.

Your software needs to be compliant to win deals. But you also need your engineers focused on building your product – NOT pulling SOC 2 evidence.
Enter a third option: make Vanta your first security hire.
Vanta uses AI and automation to get you compliant fast, simplify your audit process, and unblock deals — so you can prove to customers that you take security seriously.
Plus, Vanta scales right along with you, backed by support that's there when you need it, every step of the way.
That's why top startups like Cursor, Linear, and Replit use Vanta to get — and stay— secure.
Don’t SOC-block your best engineer. Set them free and get compliant fast with Vanta.
Elon's big move
Grok for iOS: The official app by xAI
Frequent users of X (née Twitter) will probably already be familiar with the web version of Grok — an irreverent, mostly uncensored chatbot that actually has a sense of humor. The launch of a Grok mobile app seems to be the next step in xAI’s quest to catch up with OpenAI, which has far and away the most name recognition among the general population. Personally, I’m bullish on Grok; besides being funnier and less censored than its competitors, it also has access to real-time data from X — an automatic value-add that, if complemented with improved reasoning, could make it the go-to LLM for poasters worldwide.
