Coherence makes a website into its own Mac app, so Gmail or Linear or whatever you live in stops being a tab you have to hunt for. It uses the Chromium browser already on your machine, so the app opens logged in, with the bookmarks and extensions you chose to bring. The sixth version rebuilds the engine underneath, so the apps get the right icon in the Dock and the switcher and a real window, and you can decide where links go, some staying in the app and the rest thrown out to the browser. BZG have been shipping a new version of this nearly every year since 2017, so it is one of the few small Mac apps you can install without wondering if it will still be here next year.

Tucky is a Mac app that parks your notes down the edge of the screen, with an agent sitting inside them. A thought arrives mid-launch, something like follow up with that investor, or rework that headline, and you hand it over and get back a task with a due date on it. One command covers the tedious end of that: booking the meeting, drafting the reply, filing the task. Notes, calendar and quick actions all stay on your own Mac, so none of it ends up locked inside somebody else's tool.

Dictantor records a meeting off your microphone and your system audio at once, then turns the lot into text you can search on the machine itself. It works out which voice is yours and keeps it separate from everyone else's, and searching the transcript drops you at the exact moment in the playback. Twenty-five European languages, all transcribed on the device. It started as a voice notes app for the iPhone and the Watch and has come across to the Mac, and there's no account to make and nothing to subscribe to.
