Nice product, in the end, shall it be coupled with regular visits to your dentist? Or is it more of a product that should enable you to decide when is the right time to go?
Leila Samadi
@rubenwolff Thank you for the question! We recommend it to be coupled with regular visits to your dentist 🦷🦷 A regular dental examination of your teeth, gums, and bite is necessary to maintain good oral hygiene and prevent dental issues such as gum diseases, cavities, bad breath, and other issues. Adent Health is a tool you should use to track your overall oral health at home in between the regular visits. It also gives you a greater personal insight into your oral health and what YOU can do at home to maintain good hygiene and prevent teeth and gum diseases. Prevention is key! :) Please don't hesitate with any follow up questions! :-)

I love it!!!! Dental health is a human right, and I love that you're fighting for democratization of that right! ... on top - being a busy entrepreneur, I appreciate the convenience of this product :-)
Richard Bundsgaard
@plantjammer Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, that is definitely the fight we are fighting! πŸ™Œ

This is great! Dental health is usually something we don't realise we need to pay attention to until too late, so a good way of keeping on top of it and managing it over time. Love it.
Richard Bundsgaard
@chrisashby really appreciate the feedback! Agree, in dental there is way too often a "too late" -- our mission is to help improve that πŸ™Œ
Mikkel Wessel
Interesting use of computer vision. Is it only certain things you can detect in the mouth?
Leila Samadi
@mikkel_wessel Thanks for reaching out! There is a lot to look for in the mouth, and of course the algorithms perform better at some things. Our strengths are in surface caries, inflammation in the gums, dental plaque and tartar/calculus, gum recession (appears when you have brushed too hard with the toothbrush) and teeth misalignment such as crowding, spacing, overbite, crossbite, and etc. 🦷 As of this date the algorithms have been trained on millions of teeth images – and more than 40,000 dentist hours have been spent annotating data and developing the application. Give it a try, and we will happily receive your feedback :)

Medtech is such an interesting and amazing industry. Congrats on the launch!

@jung_min Thanks a ton for the support! πŸ™Œ

Looks awesome! ?makers It seems like a very difficult task for the image analyzer to analyze images without more context than the image itself -- do you do something to provide more context and help the analyzer?
Leila Samadi
@micvbang That is a great question! I assume you might be a data scientist? (it's the same type of questions my Computer Vision colleagues ask me all the time :)) Feel free check out the last part of the demo video – but: Definitely yes! We combine the images with questions. Context is definitely important, but one thing to realize is that there is actually a lot of context inside our mouths themselves. For example when the algorithms determine inflammation of the gums, the algorithm also includes plaque, tartar, staining, tooth wear into consideration which are all indicators or "proxies" of the lifestyle, age, and/or dental habits :)

Dental health is about as exciting as saving for retirement. This is a great app to build a good routine in a fun and engaging way. One less problem at retirement? 🀞
Richard Bundsgaard
@jkimer Haha, spot on Jesper! Not always the most exciting topic, but so important to build and keep building those good routines early on. Thanks for the support! I'll join you on those crossed fingers for one less problem at retirement 🀞
Eshani Yeragi
The product is awesome. Simple to use and convenient. Being fit also includes having healthy teeth 🦷πŸ’ͺ🏻. This app will help you to detect dental problem early and that would not only save your tooth but also your moneyπŸ˜œβ€¦ Go for it .. Download now βœ… 😊
Leila Samadi
@eshani_yeragi That is all true. It save teeth and improves health - both oral health and general health since oral health and the rest of the body is connected! Thank you a lot for your comment 🦷
