Hi, I'm Xuying, the developer of AI-daily news. AI-daily news is an open-source project and being continuously updated. It's an AI-generated podcast that addresses information anxiety for AI enthusiasts, providing the most important, low-hype AI news in a personalized way. 🤖️ On AI-daily news you can: - Adjust the audio length, tone, language and information volume to tailor your listening experience. - Stay updated with a diverse range of AI advancements in technology news, podcasts, technology blogs, and cutting-edge papers on a daily basis. 💡 Why I made this? AI-daily news was born out of my personal need. I'm a machine learning engineer. Since the AI information explosion, I've been trying to keep up with the AI wave. However scattered and cheap news has made me tired, as I only want to know the most important and worthy AI news. AI newsletter subscriptions now become very common, while the daily routine of reading finally become unsustainable. Many of my friends in Silicon Valley including me have been used to listening to podcasts. During a business trip at the airport, while listening to Lex Fridman's podcast, an idea came across my mind: why not create an AI-generated podcast that compiles all the information I want to know? The AI automatically collects information and generates a podcast in my preferred style on a daily basis, and I can listen to it on my commute! It's really cool! 🚀 My vision: AI-daily news aims to create a brief, to-the-point, and fun-to-listen-to AI-generated podcast. Currently, it focuses on providing important AI news, and in the future, it will expand to cover any custom topic and generate podcasts accordingly. 👋 About me: I have 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning and worked at Stanford HAI lab. Hi @nfirmansyah thank you for your support! I'm glad to answer this question. Being in the AI field, it's crucial for me to keep up with the latest AI advances. Listening to podcasts is the easiest way for me to receive information (relaxing and convenient during commuting or my leisure time to listen to it). Typically, I mainly stay updated by listening to podcasts and reading the latest academic papers. These two methods are sufficient for me as a MLE to keep my AI sense.

Currently, it has options for users to adjust audio length, information volume, tone and language, not content categories yet. In the upcoming iterations, I'll be adding more customizations to allow users to choose the topics and sources of news they want to know. Another question, would you mind letting me know any specific kinds of content you would like to listen to?

@xuying_li I think country-specific news with different categories under it will be of great help and will be accessible to people worldwide. As for me, I am more inclined towards entertainment, mostly movies and TV. It might not be traditional news, but getting the inside scoop on upcoming releases would be awesome!

@jamesharvey92 Sure! Yes, the project utilizes open-source libraries and models. The requirements.txt file lists all the dependencies, including popular libraries like streamlit, numpy, and pandas. The primary functionalities are built upon langchain and openai.
