While this tool significantly improves video call experience, a potential downside could be its resource intensity. Depending on the user's system specifications, running these video enhancements in real-time may put substantial load on the CPU, leading to system slowdowns or potential issues with other concurrent applications. It would be beneficial if future updates optimized resource utilization to better accommodate users with varying system capabilities. Let me know if you think the same.

Hey @patpijanowski , Apologies for the delayed response. You're absolutely right! Performance has been our biggest challenge, especially on the web platform. Our AI Webcam Effects relies on our Effects SDK solution, which is an SDK for applying AI effects to video meetings in real-time. It's available on 6 platforms, including the web. To ensure better performance, lower CPU and battery usage, we have introduced a few additional configurations in the extension: Segmentation presets: You can now choose from Quality to Speed, where higher resource usage results in better segmentation quality. The option to perform segmentation prediction on every second frame, optimizing resource consumption. These configurations allow most users to utilize our solution even on less powerful hardware. We are continually working on improving the speed and quality of our effects. Our efforts are focused on the following areas: Enhancing the speed and robustness of our ML models. Utilizing the latest versions of inference engines. Leveraging the latest capabilities of web browsers (currently testing WebGPU features). By implementing these improvements, we aim to provide faster and higher-quality AI effects for a seamless user experience.

Looks like a really cool product but I couldn't get it to work (it just keeps "spinning and spinning". Any ideas? I sent in a support ticket but never heard back.

Hey @chriswinfield I appreciate your question. Currently, there are certain services that we do not support due to their specific requirements for streaming or obtaining camera streams in non-standard ways. I'd like to provide you with more technical details regarding this matter. For instance, Zoom utilizes custom encoding and only accepts YUV frames, not rgba frames. However, we have already developed a version that can perform this color conversion, and we are planning to release it soon. Regarding other unsupported services, we are systematically addressing each one and adding support gradually. As a result, future versions of our extension will be more comprehensive in terms of video compatibility.
