🧭 Airvago: The Inside Track (FAQ & Community Insights)
Since we launched, we’ve seen some great technical questions. I wanted to start this thread to dive deeper into how Airvago actually works and what makes our AI travel orchestration different from a standard chatbot.
1. How does Airvago avoid the "AI Hallucination" problem?
Most AI travel tools just guess based on old training data. Airvago uses Real-Time Grounding. We connect our engine to live search results and specific travel APIs. If a museum is closed for renovation in 2026 or a flight route has changed, our system is designed to catch that before it hits your itinerary.
2. Is the flight data real-time?
Yes. We don't just "suggest" that a flight might exist. We pull real-time availability and pricing data so you can move from a "dream itinerary" to a "booked trip" without finding out the prices tripled or the seats are gone.
3. How personalized can these itineraries actually get?
We’ve moved away from the "one-size-fits-all" approach. You can specify:
Pace: (e.g., "Relaxed" vs. "See it all")
Vibe: (e.g., "Hidden Gems" vs. "Iconic Landmarks")
Budget: (e.g., "Backpacker" vs. "Luxury") The engine then re-ranks thousands of potential activity combinations to fit that specific profile.
4. Why did you build this on a custom stack instead of just using a GPT wrapper?
Speed and precision. By using a specialized architecture (shoutout to our high-performance React and Supabase backend), we can generate complex, multi-day itineraries in seconds. A standard LLM wrapper is often too slow and loses "context" halfway through a 10-day trip.
5. Can I export my itineraries?
Absolutely. You can save them to your dashboard, and we are currently refining a one-click "Sync to Calendar" and "PDF Export" feature so you can have your plans offline while traveling.
