@laura_hill Thanks Laura! We'd love to hear how you're using the product as you get into it.

Looks good as a concept, I love version control in Git and having that focus in documentation is good. I'm worried that the way the content is written feels "clunky" - Almost like reading a technical manual when I buy a new gadget, feels like work instead of a joy to read. https://askalmanac.com/articles/... So whilst the content is correct it feels a bit lifeless, also whilst some words are heavily explained, other terms for a newbie are just thrown in. "Defining “too much” depends on the size of your team and your sprint size" Sprint size? What is a sprint? We've not covered sprints previously. Same with MVP - You assume that the brand new person to product launch has heard the term, minimum viable product, what about most valuable player. So whilst anything is better then Confluence, I'm worried about the type of content and the style that it is written in. I do deep dive to learn content, when I compare the product launch handbook to something like this: https://medium.com/@bweinstein/m... - It feels so much better. Maybe instead of just focusing on technical accuracy, can you also look at the content being engaging - https://askalmanac.com/articles/... "If you remember nothing else" - What is listed there genuinely feels like "how to sales for dummies" which is fine if you want a basic, boring sales team. So in summary, I'm very confused by what this is trying to do - It is possible to do content that is technically correct AND engaging AND of a quality that moves teams from "ok" to "excellent" performance. - Compare it with content just on Reddit or Medium. Tech's top wisdom?....Whilst the content is correct is it really that good? Hard to say... Only 3 free articles without an account? Tsk tsk, give us more :) - Maybe have a call to action script with a timer, only get X more free articles, sign up.

@bweinstein @breffni_potter Hi Breffni! Sign up is free, and then you can read all the content that you'd like. Also, thank you for all of the feedback, this will help us continue to improve the platform and content.

@bweinstein @breffni_potter Breffni, Thanks so much for the feedback – this is really amazing guidance. We just went through and added links to articles on MVPs and Sprint planning, as you suggested! Also, we're thinking through the best way to balance different levels of experience of readers. One way we've tried to address this is by including an overview for every function (see our Product 101 here, which includes both key concepts and a structured look at all our current and upcoming product knowledge: https://askalmanac.com/articles/...). Also, we'll definitely make it clearer that all the knowledge is free after signup!

Love the product! The content speaks for itself. Just signed up. First impressions - from the brand name and your tag line listed here, I was expecting Almanac to be a B2B platform offering various tech tools to help big companies quickly dig into their in-house knowledge-base. It all cleared up once landed on your webpage though..guess it took a bit of "onboarding" to really understand the platform. Looking forward to reading more of the great stuff there.
Taylor Thompson
@sekhar_chandra Hi Sekhar, Thanks so much for the kind words. We're sourcing hundreds of new templates and guides each month, so let us know if there's anything you'd like to see!
Sekhar Chandra
@taylor_thompson You bet! Considering the awesome content out at GitHub awesome lists, I think many could benefit more breadth and depth to the stuff listed at https://github.com/sindresorhus/...
Taylor Thompson
@sekhar_chandra That's a fantastic suggestion! We'll take a look and see what we can learn from these lists. Thank you!

@taylor_thompson Some might say the information out there is digital gold. :) Look forward to seeing the new content inspired by some of that gold.

Although much of my thoughts have already been captured in earlier posts, in my mind Almanac is about efficiency. From first-hand exposure to the platform, I can say it is much faster than anything even remotely similar in terms of content. Then when one layers on top of that the quality of the information available thru Almanac (these aren’t whitepapers or templates written by a doctoral student with no real “street credibility”, but rather are tools which have been developed by experienced industry and profession leaders), it becomes an absolute no-brainer. In the business world we live in today, collaboration is not a nice-to-have… it is a must-have… and Almanac has put together a true solution of value to anyone, but of particular value to those of us with an entrepreneurial side.
Malinda Coler
@hollidaybrad Hi Brad, this is so well put and gets exactly at the reason why we started Almanac. Thank you!
