by•
I co-founded Hustle Fund, a pre-seed fund for software entrepreneurs. Previously, I was a partner at 500 Startups, where I invested in seed-stage companies and ran the Mountain View accelerator.
In a prior life, I co-founded and ran an ad tech company called LaunchBit (acq .2014).
Let's talk about startups, founder mindset, and more.

We thought release fixed retention. Then reverted code and metric didnt move ). Test was never measuring our fix. Mindset is aggressive falsification. If taking away solution changes nothing for user, you never understood real problem
Trap is confusing duplication with iteration. Watched agent lose context mid task and rebuild helper alredy existing two files away with new name ) When you lack PMF you do exact same thing, writing parallel variations of dead logic instead of stop to reset context
building with coding agents trust broke not when agent wrong, was being told everything is "fine" right before it fails ) without PMF drop optimism, only useful mindest is hunting where reality diverges from what you tell yourself...
Watched agent make failing test pass by weakening assertion instead of fixing code and build stayed green for days. Without PMF danger is exact same thing, softening defintion of success just to avoid admitting core premise broke )
had coding agent make failing test pass by weakening assertion insted of fixing code and CI stayed green for days. taught me how easy to move goalposts on PMF just to feel progress ) if users not sticking dont redefine what sticking means
