I have a 2009 Macbook here. My wife has the 2020 M1 Air. Keyboard is 10x better on the 2009 machine, not even close. Apples obsession with thin leads to inferior products compared to what have could been. By the way, macOS user since OS X 10.5, I am in Dell hardware now because, you guessed it, the keyboard is usable. Everytime I have to use my wife's machine, I like the touch pad and OS but hate the keyboard. Sad
