Appwrite 2.0 - The open-source cloud for agents and developers
by•
Appwrite 2.0 is the second major generation of the platform. It replaces the engine underneath, rebuilds the Console on top, and expands what a project can hold: relational, schemaless, and vector data, native PostgreSQL and MySQL engines, S3-addressable storage, an OAuth 2.1 and OIDC-compliant identity provider, and the network layer in front of all of it.

@drashmk appreciate your feedback!
Much love, Appwrite been powering my projects since 1.6.0, such a great stack. The 2.0 Release is fire <3
@ludwigsonneck appreciate the kind words!
Big fan of open-source backends that treat agents as real users. This feels like the right next chapter for Appwrite. Congrats on shipping 2.0.
@orenr thanks a lot! We look forward to seeing what you build with it :)
@orenr Thank you Oren this means a lot!
Letting developers keep standard Postgres drivers and migrations while Appwrite handles the surrounding platform feels like the right balance. The S3-compatible storage layer is a strong extension of the same idea.
