Hi Product Hunt, Blaine here. I build Ari on my own, and I launched it here last December, when it was version 2.5.4, mostly a chat app that could run a model on your phone. Nine months and five major versions later it's a different app, so I wanted to show you what it's become. The big one is Ari 7. It now fixes pictures and films, not just talks about them. Photo Studio lets you brush over a stranger, a leash or a crease and heal it, repair an old scan, denoise, colorize, or upscale 4x. It also works from the Edit screen in Photos. Film Studio writes a film as a list of shots, renders each one with the video model you pick, and has a clean-up pass for any video: de-interlacing, grain, color, extra frames. The restoration models download the first time you use them and run on your device. Nothing gets uploaded. Also new since December: Look at Something (point the camera and ask out loud), image generation on the device with no helper app, Apple Intelligence as a chat model (on OS 27 it can see your images too), custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints for LM Studio, vLLM and llama.cpp, an Apple Watch app, Code Sessions and prompt dispatch from iPhone to Mac, and Wi-Fi sync between your devices. What hasn't changed: it's $24.99 once for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Watch. No subscription and no account. If you use cloud models, you bring your own keys and pay the provider directly. I don't take a cut. If you tried Ari last time, what made you stop using it? And if you're new, which of your models would you point it at first?
