I built a silent meditation app where strangers meditate together, 4 times a day
Hey Product Hunt,
I'm launching Awakhuma tomorrow — a silent meditation app for iOS.
No guided voice. No streaks. No leaderboards.
Just silence, shared with strangers around the world at 4 fixed moments every day: 5:45 AM, 11:45 AM, 5:45 PM, and 11:45 PM UTC.
The idea came from a simple question: what if thousands of people paused at exactly the same moment, without knowing each other, without any words — just shared presence?
I've been meditating for years and always found something powerful about group silence. But existing apps are either too guided, too gamified, or too social. I wanted something that felt more like entering a quiet room with strangers than opening a productivity tool.
So I built it. Solo. On nights and weekends.
A few things I'd love honest feedback on:
Is the concept of synchronized silent sessions something that resonates with you?
What would make you actually open an app 4 times a day for 11 minutes of silence?
Happy to answer any questions. Launching tomorrow at midnight PST.
