Beamer - Engage users with a no-code changelog & notification center

The product is simple and does what it needs to do.

Saved us the work of building this thing ourselves, and made the posts much more rich and easy to utilize the richness than we would have if we made it in-house.

Though it's targeted as a changelog for product updates, we use it on our website to surface content for site visitors. A simple 'What's New' menu item linked to Beamer has increased our engagement.

The other good thing about Beamer is that they have really wonderful support. They're quick to respond, and have made several updates based upon feedback we've given. (Shout-out to Anna, our rockstar personal executive!)

I'm a huge fan of Beamer. I think it's a must-have in the toolkit of any content marketer.

Pros:

Cons:

Defaults to appearing on whole site, so must exclude where you don't want it to show. Could use reverse; appear ONLY on these pages.

Beamer is an ace in my sleeve for greeting visitors to my website. And their support is amazing.

Use it alot, must have software

I've been using Beamer for several projects, some personal and some for customers. It's been great so far - they regularly push new features and their support chat is really responsive.

Overall great experience and worth the money.

I really like these guys and they provide a simple easy service that just about every site where users log in needs - but doesn't want to build because they want to stay focused on their core business.

There are alternatives and some of them are cheaper but I got this on AppSumo as a lifetime deal so how could I pass this up. We use it for our SaaS platform and it makes it a lot easier to get updates out there and drive users where you want for them to get more info.

I find this works really well with SupportHero. The tandem of the two gets us almost all of what we need in terms of simple push communication and documentation.

We’ve been looking for an intuitive and easy to imple way to announce updates within our product and Beamer was our tool of choice. We’ve been using it for a while now and did never regret choosing it.

Pros:

Easy to implement and use across products, lean and lightweight, great team that is very responsive and flexible. Good pricing.

Cons:

Some important features are not there yet, like custom code embed for the standalone page.

Really easy-- does what it says. I had trouble getting people to read about new features in email-- now they are available in the app.

I buy a lot of tools to test, but this is by far one of the best I've purchased. It's easy to use and is a great way to convey shorter messages to readers. The company has also been very receptive to ideas and quickly fixed a bug I found when I first got Beamer. Highly recommend!
