Hey Product Hunters! 👋🏼

I’m Mansoor Rahimat Khan, Co-founder & CEO of Beatoven.ai. Excited to share our latest launch with you: maestro, a new foundation model for music creation.

The Story 📖

When we started Beatoven.ai in 2021, our mission was to make music creation accessible and fair.

Our first model, built in collaboration with 100s of artists, was an early step toward ethically trained music generators. But we quickly saw its limits- the quality and diversity weren’t enough for professional creators.

At the same time, many creators struggle to find the right music, spending hours on libraries or dealing with confusing, risky licensing. On the other side, artists often don’t get their fair share when their work powers AI models.

The Solution – our own foundation model 🚀

Introducing maestro, beatoven.ai’s homegrown foundation model for music generation, trained on 100% licensed datasets from partners such as Rightsify, Soundtrack Loops, Symphonic Distribution, Vadi Sound, and more.

With maestro, creators can craft high quality background music with text prompts. The generated music is free from any copyright related risks.

Revenues generated from maestro are shared with contributing artists and rights holders. That way we keep giving back to the ecosystem that helped us build this technology. 🙌

Key Features 🔑

⚡️Fast, high-quality generations: Create professional-grade music quickly at 44.1kHz quality.

🎛️Deep creative control: Customize instrumentation, tempo, key, and use case from simple prompts.

🎶Diverse genres: Generate music across styles from Jazz and Rock to Ambient, Cinematic, and more.

Customisable durations: Produce tracks of exact lengths up to 2 minutes 30 seconds.

📜Commercial use-ready: All outputs are cleared for safe commercial use.

A fair foundation: Built on licensed datasets with revenue-sharing for artists and rights holders.

Use Cases

  • Podcasters looking for intros and background music 🎧

@mansoor_rahimat_khan Congrats Mansoor, maestro sounds like a big step forward. How do you see it differentiating long term, more as a stock-music alternative for creators, or as a tool musicians themselves adopt in their workflows?

Nikhil Gohil

Amazing work @mansoor_rahimat_khan ! This solves a huge problem. Wishing you and your team all the best!

Tested it this morning. Prompted “lofi chill beats for a rainy night” and it nailed the vibe on first try 😁

Congrats on the launch Beatoven.ai sounds like a real game-changer for creators. Love how you’re making high-quality background music accessible to anyone without the need for musical expertise. Excited to see how content creators, podcasters, and storytellers use this to level up their projects.

Beatoven is solving is real problem because hiring composers is $$$, and stock tracks rarely fit. Congrats on your second launch. :)

Finally, music that’s safe to use commercially.
I’d recommend adding a few presets for different video types, like vlogs, cinematic shorts, or podcasts. It would help creators get started faster. Great work team 🎉

Yug Saxena

@abod_rehman thank you for the feedback! We are working on a new UI that will make music generation easy and convenient.

Ronak Devadiga

@abod_rehman Thank you!

I can’t find this on the site: what’s the difference between composer and maestro models?
Ronak Devadiga

@theinfinityjims 'Composer' is beatoven.ai's older rule based model trained on a much smaller database. maestro is beatoven.ai's latest music generation model trained on 3.5 million licensed tracks and hence is capable of giving more accurate and quality output.

Hope that answers your question! Thank you for giving the tool a spin 🙌🏼

Talshyn Nova

Okay, I just spent some time playing with the tool, and I must say, I am seriously impressed! 👀

I have a quick question based on my experience. My first track came out at 1:30, which was perfect for a short clip. I then attempted to create a longer 5-minute piece to use as background music for a podcast, but the result was still around 1:30 minutes.

My question is: Did I miss a setting somewhere to control the duration of the music? For a creator's workflow, having direct and easy control over the track length is a game-changing feature. Thank youu!

Ronak Devadiga

@talshyn Thank you for giving the tool a spin! The maximum duration is 2 mins 30 seconds right now and we will soon be increasing that. We will be adding a duration input section in a new UI due to be launched later this month.

With 5 minutes, entered one thing we could do now is tell you in the UI that we don't support 5 minutes yet.

Thank you once again for the valuable feedback! Have a good day!

Kate Ramakaieva

Tried cinematic orchestral… honestly surprised at how human it sounded 💙

Ronak Devadiga

@kate_ramakaieva Thank for giving it a spin! Do share it with us, we'd love to check it out 😃
