Hello, Hunters! 👋 I’m Görkem, the developer of ChartReef. I’ve built an advanced yet easy to use charting app for tracking cryptocurrency markets with the lowest possible latency that you can achieve without a costly institutional level infrastructure and with multiple direct sources of public market data because I noticed that nearly all existing apps and sites put the trimmed down version of a web based chart (that by web nature is not as good on mobile) in a different interface with market data that is: Either sourced from aggregator averages with high latency. Or direct data that is reliable enough yet goes through an intermediary and inevitably adds latency. Or their own data with acceptable latency but can’t truly reflect market conditions the moment they happen because their own trading volume is on the lower end. Here is how I tried to handle all of those problems in ChartReef. Charting engine. It’s created specifically for ChartReef and it is designed with desktop and mobile use of it individually on mind. So interactions/gestures work as you expect and feel equally as good on both device types. It comes with 12 visualization types, 11 of the most commonly used indicators, 24 drawing tools and customizable settings. You can save your charts to your account and keep using a chart you saved on desktop on mobile and vice versa. A custom source configuration structure and an interpreter for getting market data. The servers of ChartReef only need to provide configuration files describing how to get market data from supported exchanges to the client application and it knows how to request, normalize, and correctly visualize market data from any supported public exchange market data api of your choice while staying within the limits of their documented guidelines. With this approach, the best of both worlds is achieved, access to market data directly from its original source without an intermediary that adds latency and the ability to access data from multiple sources within a standardized interface. Currently 6 of the most well known, highest trading volume exchanges are supported. More exchanges will be supported so long as there is demand. Interface. Desktop and mobile share the same background logic but user experience choices were made per device type. On desktop, there are customizable grids called Workspaces where you can place up to 48 small segments or fewer segments of larger size, each segment being a Chart, Watchlist or a Ticker. On mobile, the homepage opens directly to your Chart Collection, you can open your charts in full screen with just one tap and if you use it in landscape mode I believe the charting experience gets quite close to desktop. Every feature of ChartReef is included in the Free plan with ads on mobile. Other plans increase the limits of content you can create and save to your account and remove advertisements. I would love to hear your thoughts and questions about ChartReef!
