Paperguide is an AI powered platform that streamlines the research process. It helps users discover and read research papers faster using chat and summaries, conduct comprehensive literature reviews, manage and organize references, enhance academic writing
👋 Hey PH Family!!
I'm Roop, one of the makers of Paperguide
We're excited to introduce Paperguide, an AI-powered research platform to help users discover, read, manage, and write with ease. Whether you're a student, researcher, or academic professional, Paperguide boosts your productivity and accelerates your research.
Paperguide helps:
- Discover relevant papers 🔍
- Read research papers faster using chat and summaries 📖💨
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews 📊
- Manage and organize references 📁
- Annotate and take research notes ✍️
- Enhance academic writing ✨
At Paperguide, our mission is to accelerate research so that solutions to the world's intricate problems, including climate change and diseases, can be found faster.
Paperguide (originally known as ChatWithPDF) was launched as a simple tool to comprehend large PDFs. Since its launch last year, more than 500,000 users have used our tool.
Through user feedback, we discovered that students and researchers form the majority of our user base.
Rather than remaining a generic tool, we recognized an opportunity to make a more significant impact by tailoring our focus to the needs of researchers and students.
If you are a researcher or involved in research-related work, please give https://paperguide.ai a try. 🚀
We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback. How can Paperguide assist with your research process? 💡
Thank you for all your support! 🙏
Roop and The Paperguide Team
@hamza_afzal_butt Thanks Hamza. Please do explore the platform and share us your thoughts and any feedback for improvement :-)

Paperguide's focus on AI-powered research assistance sounds valuable for students and researchers. Features like chat summaries and literature review assistance could be significant time-savers.
Here are some questions for further exploration:
- What AI models or techniques are used for paper summarization and analysis?
- Does Paperguide integrate with popular citation management tools like Zotero or Mendeley?
- Are there any plans for collaboration features, allowing researchers to share notes and papers within Paperguide?
As a developer with experience in AI and research tools, I'm interested in Paperguide's technology. Here are some potential areas for collaboration:
- Contributing to improving the AI models used for paper summarization and information extraction.
- Developing advanced search and filtering capabilities to refine paper discovery for specific research needs.
- Exploring integrations with academic databases and scholarly platforms for a more comprehensive research experience.
I'd love to learn more about Paperguide's technical architecture and explore opportunities to contribute to its development.
Additionally, I'll be sure to check out Paperguide and see how it can assist with the research process!
Congrats on the launch, @roopreddy and the team! The way Paperguide manages and organizes references is really impressive — need this in a major way!

This looks really fantastic, congrats on the launch! Hard question incoming: how do you ensure that there are no "hallucinations" from the bot when asking things? This seems super important for things like research!
@adamschroder Great Question! We try to minimise the hallucinations as less as possible in couple of ways.
1) Citations: We try to be very very specific about the facts mentioned by AI, to the page numbers and document names.
2) Prompt: We have refined our prompt multiple times to keep the hallucinations to minimum.
To be honest, its still a work in progress and also the limitations of current LLMs. We are committed to improve accuracy by collecting feedback from users as much as possible.
Just saved Paperguide to give it a try! I’ve been using a mix of different tools for similar tasks, but after watching the video, I think Paperguide might improve my process. Thanks for the product and good luck with the launch! 🔥✨
@georgestrunin Thanks George! One of the point point that we want to solve is that today we have lot of fragmented research tools that does not talk to each other. For ex: we have Zotero and ChatGPT, Google Docs etc etc. Eagarly waiting for your feedback.

Man I've been searching for at tool that allows me to tap into research papers out there. Love how slick the interface and how you can test out the tool - without signing up for an account! Awesome, it's pretty cool all the paper referenced are pretty recent.
It would be awesome if the LLM can take the question and give you suggestions on similar questions like Perplexity.
Congrats on the launch @roopreddy and team!
@tonyhanded Thanks Tony for your support. Really appreciate it. Good idea to show the similar questions. It also drives engagement. This is something we will look forward to incorporate in future releases.
Hey Roop, Paperguide looks fantastic! As someone who's spent countless hours drowning in research papers, I wish I had this AI-powered lifesaver back in my academic days.
I love how you've evolved from ChatWithPDF to address the specific needs of researchers and students. The comprehensive feature set covering discovery, reading, managing, and writing is impressive. It's like having a super-smart research assistant that doesn't need coffee breaks!
One suggestion - have you considered adding a collaboration feature? Something that allows researchers to share annotations or discuss papers in real-time could be game-changing. It might help Paperguide stand out even more in the market.
Also, I couldn't help but chuckle at the "Read research papers faster" feature. Finally, a way to get through those 50-page methodology sections without falling asleep on my keyboard!
Overall, Paperguide seems like a solid contender in the research tools space. Keep up the great work, and may your users' bibliographies always be perfectly formatted!
@nikhilpareek Hey Nikhil. Thanks for your support. Regarding collaboration features, we have a bunch of collaboration features. You can share your reference libraries, notes etc. We will add more soon.
The interface allowing direct access to dashboard is quite smooth. Keep up the great experience on the platform. Solution in the literature and research space is the need of the hour to help us find the right solutions with accuracy.
Love your vision on Accelerating the change! 🙌🏽
@nida_shariff Thanks for the appreciation, Nida. We're committed to making a smooth user experience throughout the entire research process, and feedback like yours really motivates us to keep improving.
