This app was developed the weekend right after ChatGPT was announced (as a hobby project) because I wanted a more โ€œmacOS nativeโ€ way to interact with ChatGPT (and I was tired of stitching together multiple screenshots to share a conversation with my friends!) ๐Ÿค“ Since this might be useful for others, I decided to polish it a little and share it for free (when downloading on Gumroad, you can just enter $0 - although any tips are of course much appreciated ๐Ÿ™). Please let me know if you have any thoughts or feedback ๐Ÿ˜Š
A toast and cheers to the launch. Wishing you all the best.
thank you so much โ˜บ๏ธ ๐ŸŽ‰
You're welcome. An avid fan here. I'll be on the lookout for more amazing things to happen with your product.
that's very kind of you to say! Your comment just made my day (which has just begun as it's 7:30am here) โ˜บ๏ธ
You have advanced, made a new discovery, and performed a novel action. Congrats on your new endeavor!
Interesting product. Is this a webview ontop of Chat GPT, or are you interacting via (third party) APIs, or something else completely?
thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š Itโ€™s essentially just a Web View with a bit of custom JS to interact with the elements on the ChatGPT website ๐Ÿค“
Gotcha, good luck! I personally don't mind opening a browser but I know there's a good portion of folks that love the native app since you can open via Command Bar for convenience
yes, that's the target audience (folks like myself, heh) ๐Ÿค“ The other feature that I personally have been enjoying in practice, is easily creating screenshots of the whole conversation in a single image for sharing with friends or on social media (instead of manually "stitching together" or posting multiple individual screenshots).
I personally use GPTBest for that which was launched here a few days ago by !
that does look very interesting, thanks for sharing!
Great product - all teh best for launch. :D
thank you! ๐Ÿ™ I actually already released it last week but it was brought to my attention that folks couldn't upvote here because *somehow* I accidentally managed to mark it as "not launched yet"?! (I'm new to Producthunt so still learning my way round here ๐Ÿ˜…) That's why I changed it to "launch" today - guess it's the "official PH launch" for me today even though the app's already been out for a week at this point ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŽ‰
can totally understand mate, first launches are hard. It came on my feed today itself so thought it was launched today. anyways all the best for the product ๐Ÿ˜Š
> It came on my feed today itself so thought it was launched today. Thanks for confirming this! Seems like it's working now, very good to know ๐Ÿ‘ Just wanted to explain why I declared this as "launched today" despite there already being older comments ๐Ÿ˜‰ Guess one could consider last week a "soft launch" then and this one the "real launchday" (albeit unintentional haha).
Very cool
thanks! ๐Ÿ˜Š
This is super helpful. Congratulations on the launch!
Thank you for the kind words ๐Ÿ™ Happy to hear it's useful for you โ˜บ๏ธ
@ Interesting Product, Congrats on the great launch!
