CheckCam - Capture what matters — without cluttering your gallery
by•
CheckCam is a minimalist camera app for temporary photos. Snap things you want to remember — like if you turned the stove off or parking spots. Photos are stored only in the app, grouped by session, and auto-delete when they’re no longer needed.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m excited to share CheckCam — Visual Reminder with you.
I built CheckCam to solve a simple but frustrating problem: capturing things I need to remember — without cluttering my photo gallery.
Did I turn off the stove? Where did I park? What’s the Wi-Fi code? Photos are stored only in the app, grouped by session, and auto-delete when they’re no longer needed.
Would love your thoughts, feedback, and ideas for what to add next! 💬
Let me know if this kind of tool fits into your routine.
Great idea 🙌 My phone is always full of temporary junk photos that I have to sit down and clean out once a year, but your app looks like a perfect solution to get rid of them.
By the way, is it possible to set up automatic deletion in the app?

@dmitriychuta Absolutely! 😊 The app has an automatic deletion feature — you can choose how long photos stay (like 1 day, 7 days, etc.), and the app will clean up the gallery for you. No more yearly photo purges 🙌

Ah, finally 🙌 The photo of the unplugged iron and stove, locked doors, and closed windows will have its own cozy spot, so I won’t waste half a day hunting them.

@lina_huchok Exactly! 🙌 Now those “just in case” photos have their own little home — and disappear when you don’t need them anymore 😊
Love the idea of snapping important stuff without junking up my gallery—so smart, fr! Wish I had this last week tbh. You all nailed it.

Oh, finally someone realised this. it’s very useful for me, thank you.

It's good that now these photos won't piss me off in the feed and plunge into my cloud

@danildo_antonchik Exactly! 😄 No more clutter in your main gallery or cloud — just peace of mind and a clean feed!

Really cool and practical tool! I like that photos stay on the device — great for privacy. The automatic removal of temporary photos is also a smart touch. Simple idea, but very useful. Congrats on the launch!
