Love this idea - with parents who are almost 80, I'd definitely use it. My one problem for me (and curious if this is the case for anyone else) - my parents don't know how to text (sad, I know) and generally have no interest in learning how to at this point. Is this an edge case or sizable segment of aging population?

@adeluise Hi Anthony, thank you for your support and for your message. You bring up a very valid point. There is certainly still a large portion of people that either can't text or don't want to text for a check-in. There are several other services out there that offer a phone call check-in or even an in-person check-in. We decided on the text message option primarily as it gives more flexibility with the check-in window. People have an hour to respond so don't necessarily need to be by their phone all the time. We know our service won't fit for everyone but we think there is a still a sizable market of solo agers who would like the simplicity of a text check-in. Thank you again for your message. - Adam
