Claude 3.5 Sonnet - Frontier intelligence at 2x the speed

This is the first release in Anthropic's 3.5 model family. Sonnet now outperforms competitor models on key evaluations, at twice the speed of Claude 3 Opus and one-fifth of the cost. The team pulled together something really special here.

the balance of speed, reasoning, and cost on Sonnet 3.5 is hard to beat. its the model that made Claude competitive for real production workloads, not just research and creative writing.

the artifacts feature is underrated. generating interactive outputs (not just text) inside a conversation is a fundamentally different interaction pattern. it turns a chatbot into a tool.

Anthropics bet on safety without sacrificing capability is paying off. enterprises trust Claude in ways they dont trust other models.
