A malware scanner tells you that you are already infected. This one tells you which plugin is the open door - the exact version with a documented CVE and a public exploit - while you still have time to update it. It is a front-end scanner: it sees what a visitor's browser sees. That is why it works on WordPress and on any other CMS or custom site - and why it does not read your PHP files.
