What’s your current rule of thumb for demo length?

by

In 2026, products are more powerful, more layered, and evolving every week. At the same time, nobody has patience for fluff.

So how long should a product demo actually be?

Is it a tight 60-second overview that earns attention?
A focused 2–3 minute walkthrough that shows real value?
Or a 10+ minute deep dive for people who are seriously evaluating?

On one hand, brevity respects time. On the other, depth builds conviction.

Maybe the real answer isn’t one length at all. It’s matching the demo to the moment – a short teaser for discovery, something more substantial for consideration, and a detailed walkthrough for onboarding or sales.

I’m curious what’s actually working for you.

Have you tested different lengths?

And did you see a meaningful difference in engagement or conversion?
