Coda 1.0 + Mobile - A doc as powerful as an app.

Coda 1.0 is a new doc designed to grow with your ideas. It's familiar and approachable like the docs you're used to, and it comes with a new set of building blocks, so you can build docs as powerful as apps. Now available to all and it has mobile now as well :)

Congrats on the launch - and very sad that I just moved to Android 2 weeks ago! We're doing more and more with coda at work - from roadmapping to project management. Anecdotally, its NPS in our team is off the charts! We're looking forward to migrating off some of our other tools soon!

@yuchen14 Hey Yu, we've actually upgraded the experience for Android users too. We have a full Android app coming but for now you can open your docs in Chrome and they should work well. You actually get one thing that you don't on iOS - you can add your docs to your homescreen on Android!

@jerols Thanks! I compared w/ my coworker and the iOS app seems very similar to the mobile web app. Btw since you're here our biggest feedback would be to launch cross-docs soon :) Your current permission-ing model doesn't really scale, as I'm often trying to use Coda for cross-team communications.

@yuchen14 totally agree. Solving that problem is really important to us.

Wow. This reminds me of Notion 2.0 but going a little further. Awesome. Pushing limits and getting out of ruts. @shishirmehrotra will this be multi platform?

Thanks @david_grills! Not sure what you mean by multi-platform? We have an iOS app and it also works on iOS Safari and Chrome. On Android, it works great on Chrome and we have an Android native app coming soon too! cc @shishirmehrotra

Coda really is one of my favorite products. It changed the way I view spreadsheets, and it works the way I do as a developer. Congrats on reaching 1.0!

Coda... represents the future, unleashing the maker in all of us, giving us the power to imagine and to create in much more elastic, flexible ways.

Coda? I thought this name was already taken... https://www.panic.com/coda/

Same name as Coda the editor?

I am playing around with making a conference tracker and a hike tracker

Pros:

Very powerful and flexible - great for people with a creative mind & a problem to solve. + the templates often provide the tools I need.

Cons:

The formula builders and filters within tables take some time to figure out.

Coda is awesome?!

Pros:

There is an organizer in all of us. I love how Coda lets us keep structured data, present different views and share effortlessly.

Cons:

Anything is possible! But you have to invest the time to learn how to do it!

I've been using it since beta. You can build several tools. It reminds me Airtable + Google Docs + some kind of magic. Try some templates and feel it.

Pros:

Easy to use. Great UX. Infinite possibilities. It's free. Yes, free!

Cons:

None.
