Coda 1.0 + Mobile - A doc as powerful as an app.

byโ€ข

Coda 1.0 is a new doc designed to grow with your ideas. It's familiar and approachable like the docs you're used to, and it comes with a new set of building blocks, so you can build docs as powerful as apps. Now available to all and it has mobile now as well :)

Thinking through this was actually helpful in clarifying our process. Was great.

Pros:

We created a project mgmt tool to push projects forward, organise research, and focus our team. We replaced Excel/word/outlook.

Cons:

The more complicated your project, the more you need to โ€œplan your docโ€. It is helpful to think through what u r trying to do in advance.

Can't take any company that steals a name seriously.

Pros:

Seems a decent app.

Cons:

Shame it decided to steal its name from another successful app by Panic. No need.

Wow, such massive endorsement from Intercom crew! Sadly, I didn't receive my invite last year, guess my best shot to try it early was to apply to Intercom... which I coincidentally did ๐Ÿ™ƒ I'll definitely give Coda a go for my ongoing project, taking place in Trello & Docs for the most part.

I love this new type of browser based document apps, currently represented by Coda (my fav), Airtable und Notion. All three are excellent tools and Iโ€™m sure they will push each other to get better and better.

Pros:

This is magic โ€“ the next level in online documents and tables. The possibilities are endless and there are plenty of helpful templates.

Cons:

No big cons so far.
