If you are not replying, you are not networking
If you’re not replying, you’re not networking.
You’re broadcasting.
There’s nothing wrong with posting. In fact, posting is powerful.
It builds visibility.
It communicates your ideas at scale.
It helps people discover you.
But visibility isn’t the same as connection.
Many founders confuse audience growth with relationship building. They measure impressions, likes, and shares, but they really ignore the quieter metric.
Networking doesn’t happen in the spotlight.
It happens in the replies.
When you reply to someone’s post, you’re doing something fundamentally different from posting your own content.
You’re engaging with their ideas. You’re showing that you’re not just here to talk but to listen
Posting says: Here’s what I think.
Replying says: I see you. Let’s build on this.
And that difference matters.
-> Algorithms are unpredictable.
You can’t fully control reach. But you can control how often you engage.
You can control whether you respond thoughtfully.
You can control whether you show up in conversations that matter.
Note:
A thoughtful reply can lead to a DM.
A DM can lead to a call.
A call can lead to a partnership, a customer, or a new idea.
If you’re serious about building relationships, don’t just publish content. Participate in conversations.
Posting builds visibility.
Replying builds leverage.
And leverage is what actually moves your business forward.
