Creem - Smooth payments for SaaS

by•
Creem provides SaaS companies with an easy and robust payment solution, with a focus on fair pricing. We charge 0% in fees up to 1000 EUR AND...we are are extending that with an additional 500 EUR for Product Hunt users in the next 24 hours after launch 👀

This seems really useful for SaaS companies! The UI looks very easy to use.
Gabriel Ferraz
@kellypoly Thanks Kelly, it was made with a lot of care! I see that you are launching soon, have you already integrated payments into your next project?
Elzette Strasheim
Congrats on the launch! Exciting. How does Creem handle currency conversions for international transactions? Are there any fees associated with this?
Gabriel Ferraz
@elzette_strasheim Hey Elzette, thanks! We are currently only supporting EUR transactions. Are there any specific currencies or use cases that you would be looking for?
Kelly Olivier
Love the adaptability and iteration! 🔄 How often do you plan to update your roadmap based on user feedback?
Gabriel Ferraz
@kelly_olivier Thanks Kelly! We plan to update the roadmap weekly with dicord community calls! Are there any channels that you think are useful or that you would like to have to communicate such updates?
Kelly Olivier
@sudoferraz Yeah, email or slack.
Gabriel Ferraz
@kelly_olivier Thanks for the answer Kelly! We will make sure to send the updates on email to all users as well! ✅
Arthur
Love to see more payment solutions popping up! Would you say this is comparable to LemonSqueezy? And if so, are there significant differentiators?
Gabriel Ferraz
@arthur_sav Hey Arthur! Indeed! We are also a Merchant of Record, but instead of focusing on Content Creators and Digital Products (e.g. on their roadmap you can see the features they are prioritizing) we are focusing on SaaS businesses and Indie Hackers! At this very early stage, there are not many differentiators other than our pricing, that is much better and more transparent. But as we evolve, the functionalities we offer will be drastically different than what LS is focusing on. With that said, are there any specific ones that spark your eyes? Or any use cases that you would like to see?
Per Clingweld
We’re using Chargebee. Is it easy to integrate?
Gabriel Ferraz
@per_clingweld1 Hey Per, thanks for the question! To integrate Creem, it is super straightforward! But unfortunately we still don't have migration capabilities to bring your existing customers from Chargebee. Would that be a deal breaker for you? We would be happy to bump it up on the roadmap if that's the case!
Per Clingweld
@sudoferraz Not necessarily as long as it's easy to import a .json or .csv and map it accordingly. However, it was a BIG project to set up Chargebee, so the switching cost is high. Would require 2-3x the value at 50% of the cost for us to switch.
Gabriel Ferraz
@per_clingweld1 That's completely fair and understandable Per! The .json or .csv would contain your existing customer payment methods? We wouldn't really be able to do that due to security concerns, the customer migration needs to be done in a secure and compliant way so that we can handle the payment data information. But if you are mentioning about previous data on your customers, MRR, and transactions (that do not contain payment methods -> e.g. it does not import current recurring subscriptions) we could def get that fast for you and help with hands-on support! Maybe we can get on a call to discuss after the launch craziness has passed? What would be the easiest way to reach you?
Goutham
Interesting product in an interesting space. Congratulations on the launch guys
Gabriel Ferraz
@gouthamj Thanks Goutham!
Rizky Ge
@jasondainter congrats on the launch! Nice reminds me of resend just for payments🫡
Gabriel Ferraz
@jasondainter @rizkyge I love seeing the Resend reference!! Thanks for the support Rizky! Any way you see after checking the product that we could improve and offer a similar experience than Resend?
Bon
Creem looks promising, but my primary concerns are the security of funds and the sustainability of the product. After all, Lemon Squeezy has now acquired by Stripe, which should make them more reliable.
Gabriel Ferraz
@bonvisions Thanks for the kind words Bon! That's a fair and valid concern! But we see it in a slightly different way! We believe that after being acquired they will loose their touch with their customers and be less valuable for their community. In our view: Agility and customer obsession is more valuable than huge amounts of resources, and we are seeing this on the current AI trend, where smaller companies are being able to compete with huge enterprises! After all, you are not competing with a company per se, you are competing with a middle manager that does not actually care about their customers! Regarding the security of funds, we actually use Stripe under the hood! Do you think we should communicate that publicly so that people would feel more secure?
Diogo Mafra
Love how easy it is! And excited to try it out! I wish you a successful launch and journey!
Gabriel Ferraz
@diogo_mafra Thanks for the support Diogo! Hope to see you on the platform soon!
Allan
Congrats on launch! The term seems pretty good. Can individual developer applies for it or has to be a company?
Gabriel Ferraz
@allan_ryl Thanks Allan! As we are a Merchant of Record, we are actually super useful for individuals that don't want to incorporate or deal with taxes, we handle everything for you! May I ask from which country would you be looking to onboard from?
Allan
@sudoferraz That's great! Let me ask through your web custom support
