DataSquirrel saves you time, stress, and pain when making sense of your data. Automatically create insights, clear visuals and dashboard reports for any data! It's: Fast. Guided. Plain English. Auto-analyze. Auto-clean. Auto-chart. Share. Download. API.
I've been trying out data squirrel this morning and as a non technical person I have found it really easy to use! Theres a few features on there like saving tables that are 'coming soon' which would have been really useful for me today - but overall it works very well. Thank you for allowing us to try this for free
@charlotte_hare Hi Charlotte! You're very welcome. We've received similar requests from other users to save tables, and our team is currently working on that feature. Would you be open to a call sometime next week to discuss your use case and experience so far?
As the whole world is embracing AI technology with almost miracles in creating textual content and images, there are also many limitations to real business use of ChatGPT alike tools or solutions that are just wrappers around Large Language Models.
Data security, LLM reasoning and hallucinations (or bullshit) are the 3 main concerns. The quality of the answers of ChatGPT mainly depends on the quality of the question, as the LLM reasoning is fairly limited.
DataSquirrel was designed and built to overcome those concerns, and make Business Intelligence workable and valuable for non-tech managers, regardless of which data needs to be analysed. Stay tuned for a number of blog posts coming up on these concerns and what we did to overcome these.
One of the most exciting things for my co-founder @aakriti_mahajan1 and me is that while building DataSquirrel, we see all the different industries and business processes that the platform is being used in, and we are committed to making everyone's life better in dealing with data:
- First we made data structure detection automated, without a lot of questions only techies can answer
- Then we made cleaning of data a walk in the park with the "date format"-jungle and standardizing "label variations" as winning cleaning actions
- Then we gave auto-analysis to all users with automated visualisations (have you ever built a dashboard in 5 minutes?)
- Now we added auto-Insights and Squirby, the only colleague helping you with data related challenges without rolling its eyes. Squirby has become an data buddy for many already, answering questions and creating charts for you
- We also enabled access to automate processing any updates to your data, including the data that sits in systems (via API / Make . com)
It is no wonder so many non-tech managers and employees are able to find DataSquirrel to be able to make their professional life easier and better.
If you have ideas on what we should add to the platform (besides our roadmap), please reach out to us.

Glad to see y’all back here with Datasquirrel 2.0!
Started using it when y’all first launched and I have to say it’s been a great unlock for my workflow as PM first, and now a founder looking for a starting point for insight generation. What I particularly loved then and now with 2.0
1. Zero learning curve: most insights or BI tools are intimidating in lieu of the features they offer, always making the trade-off towards complexity vs ease of use. DS eliminates that trade-off as it helps me get started in minutes and easily make my way to more complex manipulations
2. Tuned for insights: Most BI tools are blank canvases and come unopinionated on insight best practices or insights in general. I love how opinionated DS is with its guided flows and best practices always giving me a nudge towards what I should be looking for in my data.
3. Focus and commitment to privacy: with wrappers on code interpreter and AI models proliferating, I’ve always been hesistant pushing data for analysis to these tools. Having known DS from the early days, their commitment to security, access and privacy is unparalleled and I’ve never had any doubts on how secure my data and analyses will be and what they’ll be used for.
Congratulation Aakriti and Martijn on the 2.0! Rooting for you always, and can’t wait to see what y’all have in store for us with DS n.0 and beyond!
@bavedave Thanks for your kind words, Neil. I appreciate that you've been a part of DataSquirrel since the very beginning, providing active and relevant feedback from the Alpha launch to now as an ad-hoc user! :)

Congratulations on the launch of DataSquirrel 2.0! 🎉
The new features, especially the automated data cleaning and AI buddy, will save me so much time and effort.
I'm curious, how does Squirby handle more complex datasets that have nested data structures? Looking forward to diving into these new capabilities!
Cheers to making data analysis simpler and more efficient!
@adamyork Thank you Adam! We just support tabular data at this moment, and when combining data flatten (so duplicate cell contents, while making sure they are not double counted).
However, since the financial industry is one of our key markets, we are working on some features that are dealing with nested lists and data across sources.
But I am always interested in the use case you would like to see us solve! Please reach out!

DataSquirrel.ai could be a game-changer for non-tech managers who struggle with data analysis. By automating the creation of insights and visualizations, it promises to save time and reduce stress. How user-friendly is its interface for managers with little to no technical background? @aakriti_mahajan1
@oleksandra_vasiukhnyk Thanks for the support, Oleksandra! UX is a top priority for DataSquirrel. The platform's UI is designed to deliver value to business managers who may be less tech-savvy, ensuring the overall flow is extremely intuitive and simple.
Customization options are literally a one-click effort. Most key steps are automated, with the option for users to choose or customize as needed. Even decisions like which visualizations best support different types of data are handled by DataSquirrel.

Congratulations on your launch! Do you offer database connectors that allow direct data transfer to your product?
I also read about your security policy, but to be honest, I don't feel entirely assured that you don't keep the data. Do you have any certificates to prove this?
@vitor_seabra Hi Vitor, thank you for reaching out. Direct database connectors not yet, but integration via Make . com to feed the data is possible.
We are working on information on data security pages on our website, standby for that, please.
We are not keeping the original data file after processing, but for analysis purposes only the imported, cleansed data is retained and stored encrypted in an optimized file format. Sensitive data is anonymised by default unless chosen otherwise by the user. When using our AI agents, data sent to an LLM is obfuscated (except for numbers and dates of course), and decoded again by us before showing it in the UI.
Are you looking for a specific certificate to be assured of the policy compliance? Until now we have mostly focussed on data security, pent tests etc. If you are looking for a specific certificate we may be able to expedite the certification of that.

Wow amazing UI. How is the security and privacy concern being handled?
@teodeleanu Hi Teo, thanks!
[your question is similar to another one, apologies for a copy and paste answer]

Hi Aakriti,
DataSquirrel 2.0 sounds like a game-changer for data analytics! The ability to combine datasets and auto-clean is impressive. How has the feedback been from users integrating with third-party systems like Shopify and Hubspot?
@alex_dulub Since the API development we have been working with a small group of Shopify users and users of various CRMs. The fact that we are splitting the ingestion of data and a trigger for recalculation all stats, charts and insights makes the solution very cost effective and seemingly fast (we do not recalculate only at the last minute).
Based on feedback we are working on 3rd party channel notifications when a new dashboard/report is available, as well as extending the set of statistical testing and pattern recognition we put the data through. Our unique combination of hard statistics, the 'real world' knowledge brought forward by AI, and the fact that business users finally can play with the data set themselves, already leads to new discoveries within the user's business lines.
