What’s your biggest reporting headache?

by

"Data is everywhere, but clarity is nowhere."

Let’s be honest: Most of us spend more time "massaging" data into slides and reports than we do actually making decisions based on it. We’ve all been there; copy-pasting charts into Slack, explaining the same metric for the fifth time in a meeting, or realizing a dashboard has been broken for three weeks and nobody noticed.

We’re building DataTawk because we think the "reporting" phase of data shouldn't feel like a second job. It should be a conversation.

I want to make sure we’re solving the right frustrations. I’m curious to hear from the builders, markers, and analysts here:

What is the one part of reporting that makes you want to close your laptop and walk away?

For me, it’s always been:

  • The "Context Gap": Sharing a beautiful chart, only to have someone ask, "Wait, what does the Y-axis actually represent?"

  • The Tool Hop: Jumping between SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint just to answer a simple "Why?"

  • The Ghost Town: Building a complex dashboard that took weeks, only to see "0 Views" in the analytics.

Drop your biggest reporting headache in the comments. I’ll be hanging out here all day to chat, commiserate, and maybe share how we’re trying to fix it with DataTawk.

P.S. We’re giving 3-month free access to the most "painful" stories shared here. Let’s hear 'em! 👇
