Day Zero is community for aspiring founders and serial builders to explore new ideas, and work alongside a community to bring them to life. We provide tools and a workflow to ideate and validate new ideas so you're next big thing doesn't stay inside your head.
π Hey Hunters!
Andrew here. I'm the founder of Day One.
We launched Day One just under a year ago. Our mission was to build a new kind of community where founders in their formative stages could not only tap into new networks, but also receive the specific guidance, accountability, and mentorship they need to build strong businesses.
Looking back on the last year, almost 200 founders have become Day One Fellows, and over 300 mentors and investors have leaned into the program. MVPs have been launched, first customers acquired, cofounders have been paired, and checks have been written.
But this was just Act I.
Today, we're so excited to be kicking off Act II and serve more founders at an even earlier stage of their journey.
Introducing: Day Zero π
We've reimagined how entrepreneurs explore, evaluate and validate new business ideas.
Inside Day Zero, you'll join a community of founders, aspiring founders, makers, builders, investors and serial entrepreneurs (we won't name drop here, but head over to our site to see who's part of the community).
Great ideas are a function of great collaboration, so inside Day Zero...
π‘ You'll explore ideas alongside industry experts in closed door brainstorms
π pressure test new ideas with feedback from peers and startup experts
π tap into the tools and frameworks you need to iterate toward validation
π launch and build in public with a whole community behind you
Basically, joining Day Zero is the closest you can come to becoming an EIR or joining a venture studio (and inside you'll rub shoulders with folks from both of these worlds), with the added benefit of collaborating with hundreds of people all across the world.

Thanks for reading π I'd love to answer questions here all day!
This is really cool! Iβve been following Day One for a while now, and Day Zero feels like a great intro to people who are just getting started.
Can you talk about the types of entrepreneurs that would be a fit for this? Day One has seemed (and correct me if Iβm wrong) focused on companies intending to go the venture capital route. So does Day Zero focus on entrepreneurs who eventually want to start venture backed businesses?
@jehunter5811 In my case, I was very direct with them that I did not intend to raise VC. They did not push back at all, even seemed to agree with my approach, and I was accepted into the Day One fellowship.
@jehunter5811 Great questions Justin, I'm glad we get to cover this!
Both D0 and the Day One Fellowship are really well suited for founders NOT going the venture route. Yes we pull in a lot of folks from the venture ecosystem, but we're focused on what the founders are building, whether it's a rocketship or a side hustle.
The way I see it, building anything is hard, and the odds are stacked against you and most founders don't have the support systems they need. And ALL founders need to go deep with their customer, experiment rapidly, build viable business models - and we help them do that!
So just to sum it up, Day Zero is focused on all types of founders and business ideas!
@andrew_w_hutton love this answer so much! Iβve gone down the best tire route and the bootstrapped route now in my career and there is both overlap and points of diverging in the process. Great to hear you all handle both cases.

Secret sauce here is the people. Everyone at Day One is committed to doing their best for early stage founders. Love this team.
Day Zero allows everyone and anyone to dip their toes in entrepreneurship surrounded by a supportive community. This product makes it feel *good* to scratch that entrepreneurial itch without spending a lot of $, quitting a job, or needing to announce it to the world. Just come, build, engage, be helpful and see what happens!
@avaliji couldn't have said it better myself. D0 is for so many people who are entrepreneurially curious, whether that's for the first time or as a serial founder.

@mikhail_gorin, thanks so much for your support. It was amazing to see how quickly and efficiently you navigated your time in the Fellowship to focus with Influencerz! We are lucky to have you in the Day One family!
