I must say that I have not used 'Underlord' much. I do not like the name at all. It's weird and a bit creepy. Consider a more personal and friendly name? Developing AI features is good, but personally I would prioritize fixing all the current annoyances in Descript. For example, I find the recording extremely clunky. It takes me up to 8 clicks just to start a recording of webcam and screen capture. Then, if the take is bad, must start over the entire process. There should ABSOLUTELY be a "delete and record again" option when you stop recording, which immediately records another take with the same settings rather than having to start everything over. Also, the new "smart recording" is not smart at all and constantly does the opposite of what I want (recording a layer instead of in the script, etc.). PLEASE get those issues sorted out before investing resources in fancy new AI stuff. (See my comments at feedback.descript.com/feature-requests).

@jazzbird thanks for your message and agreed, delete and record is on deck and coming pretty soon - we need to come up with a clever name for it first 😉. To record to script, all you should need to do now is place your cursor where you want the recording to go within the script and click Record.

@zach__moreno That's good news about the delete and record. Looking forward to it! And yes, about the record to script I know it's supposed to do that, but in my experience of the past week it has not worked well at all. I preferred the other system when you selected either script, new layer, or replace. At least the results were reliable and consistent!
