We have our own orchestrator. All payment providers plug into the orchestrator and card tokens are stored on orchestrator level (not payment provider).
It took us a few months to build it out a product that is agnostic of payment providers :)
Truly global payment, no fancy entry barrier to enter based specific country like stripe.
