DynamicLake was the first Dynamic Island-style app on Mac. The core difference from other notch apps is the focus on system-wide interactions (live activities), notifications from apps like WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram and Slack directly in the notch, and quick drop actions (similar to Dropover)Most others are more focused on media/now playing and Bluetooth device alerts
DynamicLake tries to make the notch a real Dynamic Island for Mac, not just a copy of Dynamic Island from iOS to Mac. In my opinion, the Mac Dynamic Island is a different beast from the iPhone's and most of what you see in other notch apps today, DynamicLake had first DynamicLake set the direction for this category.

The lake metaphor is perfect - I'm already picturing notifications flowing like water around my notch. Does it handle the case where I'm screen-sharing and the island needs to stay hidden? Haven't seen anyone solve that elegantly yet.
