Have you switched to WordPress's native AI yet? We haven't — here's why 🤔

Since WordPress 7 launched its native Connectors API / AI Client, we've gotten this question a lot: "Why isn't Fabio Chatbot using it yet?"

Short answer: security, and we're not willing to compromise on it. 🔐

Right now, you set your own API key directly in the plugin's interface. We know exactly how it's stored and used — no middle layer, no gray area.

Switching to WordPress's native connector would mean handing that responsibility to a system that's still brand new and, in our view, not yet proven at scale. We'd rather wait until it's battle-tested than migrate too fast and put your credentials at risk.

⚠️ We'll revisit this once WordPress has hardened and simplified that connection flow.
