Congrats on the launch team! Question: What have you found is the hardest part of making notes useful? What's the difference between the teams that generate notes that no one ever reads, and the ones that get a lot of value from their call notes?
Richard White
@davidspinks Great question! There certainly is a difference between good notes and bad notes but I think inherently notes just aren't that engaging compared to hearing something directly from another human. Thus we focus a lot on getting people to watch the right parts of these recorded conversations rather than trying to come up with a textual artifact that tries to explain it. Transcript search, ability to annotate key passages, and even our new AI summaries are actually all designed to do that: help you find the moments that matter to you so that you can watch them. So that would be #1 and then #2 for me is simply how to make all of that more discoverable. That's where things like sending to Slack, copying a summary to Notion, or syncing to your CRM come in. It's important that this content get cross-posted to wherever it might be relevant to people later. Again, really great question, curious what you've seen yourself. Thanks for your support!

Impressive work on i18n. What languages are you prioritizing next?
Richard White
@lastridgely Thank you! We actually have a lot of demand for right-to-left languages like Hebrew which will require a little more UI work but that we're excited to get out there.

Congratulations on the successful launch. 🎉

Fathom is so useful. It's one of those tools that doesn't get in your way, but makes meetings so much more efficient. No more action items slipping through the cracks—that's the best benefit in my opinion!
Richard White
@nscalice Being useful without being in the way is so important and so difficult to balance. I'm glad we're doing a good job. Thank you for your support!

When I help my clients write better books, we brainstorm ideas during our consulting sessions. Invariably, they will say something brilliant, and I'll say "put that in the book!" And they'll say, "What did I say?" They can't recreate their thoughts in the moment. That's when Fathom shines! Because it records everything. I would never host a consulting session without using Fathom.

@dan_janal One of the most fun parts of building this product is finding all the various ways people use it. This is a really clever use case and one I would have never thought of when we started this journey. So glad it's become so indispensable to you. :) Thank you for all the support!

I've been using Fathom for a little over 6 months. I use it to transcribe my monthly meetings with my volunteer team. I also use it to transcribe coaching sessions. It provides great accuracy - I work with many people using English as a second language. Very impressive - love it as a productivity tool, saving me time taking notes. As I don't need to take detailed notes, it helps me stay completely focused on my coachees. Wonderful App!
Richard White
@mick_lavin Yay! We've been working on accuracy so I'm really happy to hear that work is not going unnoticed. Thank you for your support!

I conducted a bunch of user interviews last week, and used Fathom to summarize the calls and share highlights with the team. It's an incredibly helpful tool for user and product research. Here's an invitation link to skip the waitlist (if there still is one): https://fathom.video/invite/YBCaFw

@dayne_rathbone1 Amazing! Hopefully the new playlists feature will help out a lot when you're pulling together your product research!
