This looks great! All of my files are stored in Abstract (https://www.goabstract.com) - will Reduce still work with version controlled workflows too? I'd love to clean up the files and cut down on file size to make syncing quicker, but integration with services like Abstract is a must for me to adopt your product. Cheers!

@jkeussen Hello, Joakim! Thank you so much for your feedback! 😊 Sure, we know about Abstract (just a fantastic tool). We already asked them about some possible integrations, and unfortunately, they don't have any public API to use to third-party tools. But you can still use Reduce app and optimise your sketch files. Because at the end Abstract works with files as well, so if you optimise this file you would just see all the changes you've made in Abstract and it should work fine.

This can potentially save a lot of headache for big files that have a ton of super high resolution bitmaps. It's also very useful for teams and developers who don't want these giant files on their hard drives. With tools like Abstract that make sure that big changes like these are versioned, I think it doesn't hurt to try the optimization and apply where it is needed. As designers, we should always be mindful of the file sizes and optimization of our assets. This is good reminder for it. Great job to the team for being transparent about it!

@mengto Hi, Meng! Thank you so much for your feedback! 🙂 Reduce really could play super well with tools like Abstract. Actually we asked guys from Abstract about some open API for third-party apps and, unfortunately, they don't have any at least for now. Also, regarding optimisation: The biggest source of redundant elements in Sketch file is really an end user 🙂 People tend to add some elements, make them hidden for example and forget about it. At the end, this is affecting file size. And it's totally fine, we're are human beings after all. But it'd be really cool to have something which can automate this process and keep Sketch files organized and tidy automatically. Hopefully, Reduce would be the first step to it 🙏
