How do you balance work and personal life when running a business? 😰

by
Curious about what works for you? ... And also, what was something you stopped doing because it didn't work?

Every phase of life has its active and slow sprints. You just need to define them and focus. When my daughter started school, I knew I had to be there to support her. When I’m starting a new project, I know I need to talk to customers and gather feedback. Focus is everything. It’s impossible to be successful in everything. Even if you think you're succeeding in one area, imagine what you could achieve if you went all in.

I take one day off the week, and think it's plenty. If work-life balance is extremely important, then I think its better to not start a business.

Balancing work and personal life while running a business requires setting clear boundaries, prioritising tasks, and scheduling dedicated time for both. It’s essential to delegate responsibilities and maintain a support system to avoid burnout.

Balance? 😂 I just pretend my couch and Netflix(specially the Scifi and Sitcom) are VIP clients. When in doubt, coffee and pizza are my secret weapons. 🍕☕️

there is no such balance. But do set boundaries. I typically work 90 days heads down and rest for about 2-3 weeks.

Set clear boundaries, and rest whenever you can

Balancing work and personal life often involves setting clear boundaries and prioritizing tasks. I stopped overcommitting to meetings that weren't essential, as it was draining my time and energy without adding much value. Love yourself first, make time for you to build good mood.

As a single Dad and Solo-preneur it's not easy... I try to roll with whatever tasks I can wrap up into something my kids want to do. Carry my laptop a lot but letting go of things I can't control has kept me sane (most times). lol
