How do you handle churn when users leave for features you intentionally chose not to build?
by•
Early on, every churned user's exit survey felt like a product instruction. A user would ask for a specific integration or custom report, and we'd rush to add it to the backlog.
Eventually, we realized this was turning our clean product into a cluttered, confusing mess. The churn wasn't happening because we lacked features it was happening because trying to satisfy every edge case destroyed the core experience for ideal user.
For founders with established paid tiers: how do you balance saying no to feature requests while maintaining strong retention?

Feature requests can be tricky because adding everything users ask for can make the product harder to use I think keeping the core experience simple while prioritizing requests that solve real problems is the right balance
