Is launching too early making it hard to understand user feedback?

by•

We launched the MVP fast since we wanted real users and not spend months on perfecting it.

That was done successfully.

However, the feedback was extremely varied. Users were asking for various features, some asked for more simplicity and some struggled with aspects which were not even in our scope.

This led me to conclude that gathering feedback is only half the battle and you should have some system for filtering individual feedback from something which multiple users face.

How would you categorize user feedback without giving everything the users ask into consideration?

sometimes the simplest feedback is the most useful. If multiple users independently say they don’t understand the same screen, I’d investigate the experience before adding anything new.

A good approach is to group feedback by the problem users are trying to solve rather than by individual feature requests This helps you spot repeated pain points while still keeping the MVP focused
