The Loneliest Part of Building: When Momentum Slows Down
Everyone talks about the early rush of building—
🚀 the excitement of an idea
👀 first users checking it out
💬 feedback rolling in
But what about when the hype fades?
The in-between stage can feel lonely. You’ve shipped, you’ve posted, but suddenly it’s just… quiet. Not much feedback. Not many new users. And you start questioning:
👉 Am I building the right thing?
👉 Do I keep pushing or pivot?
👉 Is this normal, or is it just me?
I think this “silent valley” is one of the hardest phases in building a product. It’s rarely talked about, but it’s where consistency and resilience really matter.
So I’m curious—How do you push through this phase?
Do you:
1)Double down on features?
2)Focus on growth & marketing?
3)Take a step back and rethink?
Would love to hear stories, strategies, even duckups (sometimes those are the best lessons).
