What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly – proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude – mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma – I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator – sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail – and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts

[and soon one more that I am working on – – prevents me from being banned on LinkedIn, so I will not lose my account.]

here are my favorites:

/ - brainstorming, drafting copy, and getting through technical work

- Every brief, doc, and launch plan lives here

- A memory and context layer we're building, so agents can easily understand what I'm working

- meeting notes 

- so good for video editing

My current five would be:

1. ChatGPT / Claude for thinking through strategy, copy, and product decisions

2. Product Hunt for watching what builders actually respond to

3. LinkedIn for B2B context and relationship-building

4. Notion or Google Docs for turning scattered thoughts into operating notes

5. Calendar/email tools, because most business execution still dies in follow-up

The bigger pattern for me is that tools only matter if they reduce the gap between insight and action. That is also how I think about AI employees: they should not just generate output; they should help move a workflow forward with the right handoff points.

  • Obsidian - this is my personal command center for both mundane stuff, projects and creative endeavors

  • ChatGPT - no surprise here, I use it for brainstorming and also simple automations like getting and sorting invoices from email

  • Codex/Claude Code/Cursor - I use them interchangeably

  • Railway - my go-to deployment platform

  • Google sheets and docs
