Marketing is always about what the customer wants, needs, and values. That's not going to change in the next five or ten years.
@brian_finnerty Thank you for your answer, but there will also be developments in communication.

Interesting discussion definitely, wrote on the same thing recently on Medium.

I think marketing is synonymous to community, and with rapid advancements in Web3, we will be moving towards decentralized marketing where user will own their attention.

Much more hyperlocal and more personalised and targeted ads. People are different and so are there motivations and needs. Ads should be able to adapt to this underlying context from one person to another. No single ad should be the same when shown to two different people.
@ishan_nangia I agree, that's what is happening right now and AI will make ads much more personalized and alluring. I am looking forward to the day I start seeing ads from PH on my IG. 😉
As many people already mentioned AI, I would say that while AI is a big game changer, we have Web 3.0 elements growing at an unprecedented pace.
Keeping that in mind we should know the promises that Web 3.0 is focused on delivering. Including privacy and anonymity. During the time I spent studying and working on marketing projects and in the Web 3.0 space. I have noticed a huge gap that is yet to be filled.
For me, marketing will also evolve in the next generation of Marketing, or marketing 3.0 as an individual's trust will move from a 3rd party entity to another individual. We can already see examples of this in the form of influencers. However, I personally feel that the people who are putting their trust in influencers will soon learn their lessons, and they will look towards a close, intimate form of trust, or we can call it a "social trust circle" you will eventually see this in a form of community.
So yes, marketers may need to evolve the typical techniques such as buyer persona, cold emails, lead segmenting and the psychological play that is being done.
There can be multiple reasons for this revolution, one of them primarily being AI. Yes! while AI is beneficial to marketers right now, it will cause immense competition, while the colors and brand elements are used by huge entities to develop trust and play with a consumer's psychology, we should realize that AI will allow any individual to develop the same content at a similar pace. This will allow content bombardment and confuse the consumers on what to focus on. Reverting to Influencers was of no use. They would have to choose between democracy and monarchy. Thanks to the availability and tools provided by Web 3.0 everyone, including myself, will look forward to democracy.
Buyer persona's will soon turn to community persona. Cold Email to individuals will soon convert to business pitch. Selling will soon turn into collaboration.
Ofcourse, this is my personal view and I am open to discussion or critism :)
In 5-10 years, I think marketing will be even more data-driven and personalized than it is today. With the continued development and advancement of technology, marketers will have access to even more data and insights about their customers and their behavior, which they can use to create highly targeted and personalized marketing campaigns.
I also think that the use of AI and automation will continue to increase in marketing, with AI being used for tasks such as predictive modeling, data analysis, and even some forms of creative work, such as copywriting and design.
Additionally, I believe that customer experience will become even more important in marketing, with companies focusing on creating seamless and personalized experiences for their customers across all touchpoints and channels.
Overall, I think the future of marketing will be focused on using data, technology, and customer experience to create highly effective and personalized marketing campaigns.
@huy_xuan The marketer always has to learn. In the coming years, he will have to adapt to a swift change of platforms and communication, there will be the metaverse, and these are just a few things he will have to learn.
