💬 What do you think of Threads, Meta’s new Twitter Alternative?

Would have tried it if it was available in the EU, but apparently they didn't release it here because of legal concerns.

I love the competition but its going to benefit Elon

I think it's still early to give a constructive thought, but it can be a nice alternative

It has already become a reel cesspool of AI "educators" and tacky influencers.

Personally not a fan of it.

Threads is not a alternative of twitter its has own properties.

It going to be a war maybe.

There’s still additional feature to go on there it seems. But the UX is super cool so far

There's nothing new which is being served by Threads. All the engagement right now (including the millions of user signups) is being driven out of FOMO. What if it goes big and they miss out on a chance to create an audience in the initial stages? Although the only people who are getting audience from the get-go are the ones who have big following on Insta which is because of the 'Export contacts' feature. And there's not really a USP. The product has missed on some imp UI implementations like the Feature to Edit a thread, Bookmark the thread and the metric which shows the View count of the threads. It's a matter of time - let's see. Without any USP, the retention could possibly go down.

Give me something new, ya know?
