Hey guys i want to know, at what stage do you start running paid ads? By this I mean facebook and google ads, i dont have a mobile app so not on the app store. And what tools do you use to monitor analytics? I know most of us use stripe, but after some feedback there to help. Appreciate your support

The world has changed rapidly over the past two decades with the internet, new technologies and the accelerated transfer of information.

Anyone not actively working online or in IT may have trouble keeping up with these "tech trends." This is especially true for older generations who did not have the opportunity to grow up with computers as it is today.

I m currently on Tauri, and I also have another project built with native Swift that s waiting for App Store review. After months of development, I can clearly feel that Tauri being frontend-based fits much better into today s agent/AI ecosystem:

• AI is way more familiar with frontend stacks: React/Vue/TypeScript/etc. The code it generates is often more structured than what I d write by hand.

• Tauri is cross-platform: Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android (even if I don t need all of them right now).

• A lot of tools for making promo videos/posters like Remotion are frontend-based. With AI agents, you can produce videos that are pixel-perfect: e.g., spin up a Vite dev server, let the agent read the HTML directly, and render it with Remotion exact replica. Totally different experience from Swift. (Though for Swift/iOS, Goldie is actually a great project for generating marketing visuals too.)

• Building a C/S architecture with a frontend stack is cheaper it s all TypeScript, lol.

But there are also plenty of pain points:

• On Apple ecosystem, you have to roll your own packaging & upload scripts nowhere near as smooth as Xcode. And they break after updates (looking at you, macOS 26).

• You miss out on native Apple component styles and APIs. My Swift project uses lots of new APIs and device-specific features with Tauri I d need a bunch of plugins and FFI.

• Cross-platform UI consistency issues seems like a Tauri classic, and also why many still choose Electron.

• Rust well, not a problem for me. And with AI + clippy, the Rust code isn t just fast, it s also fast. Good enough for most cases.

• IAP requires your app to be a .app bundle can t just tauri dev for debugging, so that s extra workflow overhead (I now have 10+ scripts in my repo just for packaging).

• Icon issues on macOS with Tauri, icons might appear too big at first, then too small later. Xcode is still the boss here.

• etc.

I'll start with one I've often debated: "urgency". As in, fake countdown timers, or saying "you have 1 spot left" when there are infinite spots available.

The annoying part is that they work. Conversion rates go up by a few percentage points. So saying no isn't some clever long-game arbitrage where I secretly win in the end. It's just leaving money on the table because it makes me feel gross.

Everyone talks about building the next unicorn. But what if that's the wrong goal entirely?

Here's a different mental model worth considering. Instead of spending 5 years chasing one product to $10M ARR, what if you built 10 20 smaller products (each generating $10k $50k MRR) managed entirely by AI agents?
