We are all building some kind of product or business and gaining the first 10 users can be a difficult task. You not only need them as users they play a very big role as they believed in your product, but they will also provide the non-biased review about your product and that will define how you'll shape your product. So, I would be grateful to ask about the process of getting the first 10 customers. Some of the most inspiring startup journeys of the last few years happened in plain sight.
@levelsio built Nomad List and Remote OK live on Twitter sharing revenue numbers, failures, and pivots in real time. @marclou does the same, shipping products publicly and turning his audience into his distribution. Both have built massive followings and real businesses partly because of how openly they build.
I'm a product nerd. I love demoing and testing out products and am blessed that I can do this as part of my work here at Product Hunt but I sometimes forget to share my thoughts and impressions from testing products with the community....and I want to change that! What would you like to see if I were to start sharing some reviews, product comparisons, and first impressions of Products that are launched or discovered? Imagine that you are about to join a startup (before raising funds) as a part-time employee. You are paid for work (compensation is like in any existing, well-established company in the industry, but you do not have regular employee benefits covering 401 plan, no equity, no health care plan, HO equipment fee, etc.)
You hope that after raising funds, you will become a full-time employee and receive benefits.

So many of us are hustling trying to get projects and ideas off the ground. We spend a lot of time contacting folks we don't know -- they may be potential advisors, customers, investors. I'm curious to hear what your best tactics are for making new connections online. One thing I like to do before approaching someone I don't know is spend time observing their behaviour on social media and understanding their interests, passions and projects.
