Anyone can (and many do) create software that puts together a list of items you need to do, you can add tags and project or organize by when they are due. But let's be honest 90% of the value of most productivity apps can be recreated with a piece of paper and a pen, and so many of us find ourselves going back to that tried and true method. Enter Slash!!!! Slash not only helps you keep track of what you need but more importantly it helps you get it done!!! We've all started that task with enough motivation to cross an ocean and then we check Slack or Facebook, maybe the monkey in our brain says "we wanted to look up all the recipes for pancakes". After a few hours, you feel like you wake up from a bad dream and wonder what are we doing and feel ashamed that you literally got nothing done. Slash does better than any app I have used (Wunderlist, Todoist, AnyDo, etc) at helping you stay on task. The UI is super simple, not a lot of fluff that requires hours of tutorials to learn. You set your tasks and the order you want to get them done and you go. Then you get a little persistent reminder that helps you stay on task and tells you how long you've been working on it. I think of it like the scoreboard in sports, tells me my goal and how long I've been working at it. I have been amazed at how well Slash has helped me defeat the distraction monkey, slay social media infinity pools and become something of a productivity samurai. GIVE IT GO, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!

I've been absolutely loving this app! It's one of the few digital tools that helps me keep my AD(H)D in check — especially the customizable flash/bounce feature, which I have go off every 5 minutes to kick the monkey mind out of the control seat. I've been using it since the early days, and the steady improvements and feature enhancements have been a joy to integrate into my routine. I love that the dev team gets to use this ever-improving tool to continue improving it with increasing efficiency. Bonus points are always available for recursivity 😄 The integrations are a huge bonus too — one that I was happily surprised to see so early. No IFTTT integrations yet, BUT I use my Google Assistant –> Trello recipe on IFTTT to beam tasks to specific Slash lists (through the Trello integration of course) right from my watch or phone. How damn cool is that?!

This thing is really cool. Normally I would go into a project head on and get lost in it. I wander around the tasks and sense of urgency disappears. What this app does very well is letting you divide your tasks into bits and pieces so you can conquer later. I genuinely believe making a list of the subgoals prepares my subconscious to do them and I flow over them more quickly. The bar on the screen reminds you to stay on the task and with the timer going on, I feel that sense urgency that is very much needed. I am super happy that I encountered this app. Overall, it helped me to organize my working sessions and increased my productivity. I love it!

Truly changing how I work and study. Now able to get more out of the day, while still being able to have a balanced home life! Thanks Slash!

Started using this and I can tell I'm going to be using it for a while. I keep a very organized list of tasks in Things but always have trouble starting the list - Slash makes that super easy and keeps me moving through the day. Excited to see where this goes!

I've been using Slash for 2 months already, and it's the only task management app that I keep using on a daily basis for so long. I've tried OmniFocus, Apple Reminders, Wunderlist, and a few other apps. All of them did not succeed in keeping my focus on the current task and showing what's next. That's why I didn't stick to them. Slash is different from all those apps as it offers a different way to categorize items - by their urgency and importance first rather than by the list/project they belong to. It provides me a clear vision of what I need to do this week, today, and next. It allows to prioritize the tasks using the Eisenhower matrix with a few clicks, which is really very useful and something I have never seen before in other programs. I also like that it's highly customizable - you are not forced to use it the only predefined way. You can turn on/off most of its features (including the Eisenhower matrix) and use it the way you personally feel most comfortable and productive. I shared it with a few folks on my work and they were really impressed. Hope that someday it will have team collaboration built-in so that I could use it together with my colleagues for common projects.

Slash looks like a very nice app for organising your to-do list and finishing tasks set for the day. If I could get my hands on a subscription I would love to test it out, already sent the link to friends and family for a possible Christmas gift. Hope the app gets the success it deserves!

I live in Finland, it’s dark and cold all the time, BUT because of Slash I had to create a Producthunt account and tell you all how awesome app it is, even if it’s dark and cold 24/7! I have used Slash from the beta and it really has all the right elements so you can really get more done and even see the sun sometimes. 5/5 recommendation from Finland!
