Slash is the first task list I've ever actually used. And used. And used.

This is great!! I love how it shows my current task in black when working on something else. I tend to lose track of what I'm focusing on and Slash helps me stay on track on my tasks.

How do you think you compare with Sunsama?

I have used multiple To do apps but none work as well as Slash. First unlike many to do apps, Slash not only enables you to capture all the tasks quickly (CMD+N is my fav letter combination now) but ensures extreme focus! Gone are the days where you need some other app to help you block other apps and deviations. The App has some of the best features to stay productive. Prioritization - Weekly Mode is my favorite -- simply keep adding tasks , then plan your week and Day! One extremely helpful feature 'End your day' - especially in this remote working period as you may not end the day on time and risk of burn-out. Love the animation and a kid in me wakes up and I do tend to follow the general advices -- (plan a dinner, message a friend, pet a pet are my favorites) I think we will be listening more about Slash in coming months and not before it becomes best task management app.... I am done Slashing for today, its time to 'Celebrate' and get some food!

This is an honest and unbiased review of Slash. Summary: It's an app that you never knew you needed. An app that unlocks your full potential while keeping it very simple and minimalistic. Once you start using it you can’t stop. Slash is an app (obviously) that helps you manage tasks. You’ll be thinking that I’ve got tons of free alternatives all over the internet (For example Google Tasks) then why would I need this app. Oh baby, you’re in luck. After reading this review, you’re gonna have two things in your mind. How the hell did an “app” made you realize the true full potential of yourself? Where has this App been hiding throughout my life? Slash is so beautifully made. This is the gist of how it works. You got a list of tasks for a week (Just like any other task manager). You gotta pick few a tasks from that list to prioritize them for today. What I mean to say is choose all the tasks which you’re gonna do today. (Okay, I am understanding till here but what is so revolutionary?). Relax, dude! This is where the magic happens. Once you’re done choosing the task, you’ll enter the FOCUS MODE. It keeps a small box at the bottom of the screen and constantly reminds you of the task you’re doing and how much time you still have to complete the job. Once you’ve completed one task, it shows a progress bar on how many tasks you’ve completed. (The next one is my most favorite part of this app) It shows this amazing summary of all the tasks you’ve completed. It’s super SATISFYING that you’ll be motivated to do more stuff. I am a student and after installing I found myself starting to push my ability to study to its limits so that I can see that SATISFYING summary once again. Gives the feeling of accomplishment. Oh god, I almost forgot! The sound effects. Goosebumps man. You got this range of amazing sounds which you can set to hear when you complete a task. You still not convinced? I use Trello and Asana for managing my syllabus and tasks (The study stuff) and Slash integrates seeeeeemlessly! It’s super smooth. This feature itself is enough to convince 75% of you guys. Slash uses the Urgent-Important Matrix (An idea created by Dwight Eisenhower who’s the 34th President of the US and also a Supreme Commander during World War II) which helps you in segregating tasks by urgency and importance while leaving out the less urgent and important tasks which you should not do at all. This is a gem. You can’t find it in any other app where this feature is implemented this well. You also got a Pomodoro timer, note taking, you can even set a webpage to open whenever that task gets over and another one starts and the main thing is that Slash is continuously evolving. You go to https://slash.nolt.io/ to see the new feature suggested by the community. Request from my side to the amazing Slash team. 1. Please try giving a student discount: 50 tasks are not sufficient for a student. I invited my dad to use Slash so that I can get 50 more tasks. But 100 tasks still are very less so I use only 3 tasks per day. 5$ per month is very cheap for unlimited indeed but we’re students and we kinda are always broke 🥺. If you give a discount to students, then it would help us like crazy! 2. Please add Notion integration like Asana and Trello cause that would help us get the analytics over the notes. The best thing students should do is the following 1. Create a free Asana/Trello account. 2. Sync it with Google Calendar 3. Integrate it with Slash This will change your life cause it did for me. Thanks for reading this brief review and thanks to the Slash team for making this amazing tool. You guys are the best!

?makers Congrats on the launch! Is there a way of scheduling a task by typing using Quick add task shortcut? This is why I use todoist. Something like "Buy groceries tomorrow" -> transfers to "Buy groceries" and attaches a date for tomorrow.
