Google Trends is great, but it falls short in so many ways, like lacking search volume numbers or even a good way to discover new trends. We've spent the last 3 years at Glimpse investing heavily in our trend tech and are releasing it today atop Google Trends.

Hey everyone! Our team has loved Google Trends since forever but we’ve always been bummed that there’s no way to see search volume in the tool, or that there’s no good way to discover new and relevant trends, among a bunch of other frustrations. We’ve spent the last 3 years investing a ton into our tech, here at Glimpse, and are super excited to release it, sitting atop one of our favorite tools, Google Trends. Hi Glimpse. Seems like an awesome tool - I've been playing with it for the past 5-10 minutes and I can definitely see an interest in it. First question is about CPC on related keywords : is it US only ? In my example, I tapped a keyword that is typically french and I got a 0.02 CPC which I find kind of weird.

@joseph_ayoub Hey there Joseph! Thanks for checking out the tool! While every other section is based on either worldwide data or the geo you specifically set, the data in the People Also Searched section is indeed US-only. Keep the questions coming!

@joseph_ayoub Have you read their privacy statement? They collect personally identifiable information, user activity, and web content. Why do they need this info to analyze trend data supplied by Google?

I was lucky to have access to a beta version and found it to be a super impressive add-on. Forever bugged me that Google Trends didn't have any absolute numbers on the axis, so that alone is a game-changer. My favourite feature is to set alerts – I work in e-commerce and want to know as soon as some trends pop. Great makers too – can see solid progress and willingness to deeply speak with users to understand their needs.
