This is a non-fiction book describing people's life back from 1960s to around 2000s in Shanghai, including the revolution and the reformation afterwards. This book is quite interesting, because it is written in Hu dialect(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sh...). It is trying to explore the gap of literal contexts between modern prevalent Mandarin and traditional Chinese before 1949.
